The smoke and bone altars is an exposition I’ve worked on for quite some time and it will be hosted at the amazing Pilsen Outpost. The exposition works are based around the Chicago Artists Month theme of “the city as a studio”, and talks about the multiple instances of corporate greed and political abuse on the inhabitants of this city. From the Haymarket riots to the democratic national convention riots and many more.
It will be a humbling honor if you could come and share with me the opening reception to my first solo show.
the Exposition runs throughout October, with a meet and greet with many of the other talented artists working in this community effort to preserve and bring new art to the Pilsen and Chicago on the 24th.
